Click on the news App, on the edit bar and the icon wheel.
By Customizing, you can select the number of items displayed per page, whether to adapt the App to the length of the articles displayed, and set the alphabetical order.
From the image icon, you can set the width and height of the thumbnail images, and whether to hide the secondary images, or the Preview image.
From the eye icon, you can choose whether to display or hide the Sharing, comments, date, Tags, or Rss Feeds.
